To choose what’s better to suit your release here’s the explanation of the processes.
CD Duplication is the process of taking blank, recordable discs (CDRs or DVDRs) and writing the information on them with a laser. It’s used mostly for the short runs of CD manufacturing (1-300). Turnaround: 5-8 working days depending on CD packaging.
CD Replication is the process of creating a glass master and stamper of your data (CD Audio, CD-Rom, DVD video, digital files, DDP ) then injection molding the discs using that stamper. The CD replication process starts at 300 units and offers significant value for money during bigger runs. Turnaround: 9-12 working days depending on CD packaging.
Sometimes you might not need 300/400 units of printed CDs but only small batch. We’re able to accommodate your needs by offering short run CD printing and CD duplication starting at only 25 units. All of our sleeve types can be produced as short and cheap runs of CD duplication. Card sleeves, Digipaks, Ecopaks and Jewel cases can all be produced as short run CD batches.
It’s our mission to help you get the best looking and sounding CDs. Our designated team will help you with the artwork issues occurring during CD printing. Not enough bleed, text too close to the edges, the low resolution of the artwork are only a few problems we come across during the CD manufacturing process. Our expert team will help you avoid all those mistakes and help out at every step of the CD printing.
Each of the sleeve types can have additional booklets printed. Digipak, Ecopak sleeves and Jewel cases can have the CD booklet printed and inserted into the left pocket of the sleeve. CD booklets can be printed as 4, 8, 16 or 32 pages.
It’s common from other companies to require specific formats, ways to upload and all other time-wasting processes. We got our CD manufacturing process laid out very simple for you. Send the audio files either in .wav format as separate files or DDP image. Upload it using your preferable storage service (wetransfer, google drive, dropbox etc) and email us the download link. Once we get the files our designated audio team will perform checks, embed the metadata and CD text for you. Let us do all the technical stuff and you focus on your music.
