EXCELLENT Based on 78 reviews Posted on Stephen BondTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolute 10/10 company. Managed to sort us out with a super rapid turn around in time for a gig with very short notice. Super helpful and easy to chat to! Can't reccomend these guys enough!Posted on S ToddTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am writing this review regarding the consignment of CDs of which I’ve just recently received from CD-Unity: I chose the ‘4 PANEL ECO-FRIENDLY 350GSM CARD INCLUDING CDS’ and, on receiving the finished product, they look absolutely fabulous + sound great too. I am a complete amateur at this kind of thing so, I was very appreciative of all the help they were able to provide (which was definitely needed!). This musical endeavour of mine has been merely a folly on my part and I have to say that I am very happy with the standard and quality of the final product. Hurrah!Posted on Terry ChristianTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very good customer service. Please with the overall CD sound, sleeve graphics and price. I can recommend CD Unity.Posted on G&A HuntTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thanks Guys, Great Job...Chuffed!!Posted on Katrina LikhtmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I liked everything about CD Unity from the first look at their website. The ethos of the company, their professionalism and way of communicating with customers are impeccable. I was new to this process so Tom's advice and guidance were much needed. He helped me make decisions about the design of my CD, and I'm extremely happy with the final product. The prices are very good too. Great experience, highly recommended. Many thanks🙏❤Posted on George WrightTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I used CD Unity for a quite complex project with a really short turnaround. Tom was incredibly responsive and helpful, quickly understanding what was needed and being patient while I got everything together. He was also flexible as things changed a bit right up to the last minute. Add in high quality products and a very reasonable price, and I'd definitely recommend CD Unity. Thanks Tom!Posted on WS JacksonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. An excellent manufacturer - my order of digipak CDs exceeded my expectations. Please ignore any reviews moaning about it not being an instant service - just allow a few weeks for the job to be done properly. Tom was helpful and straightforward with me from the get-go: I received my copies within 2 days of the estimated lead time he initially quoted. Communicative throughout too. Truly one of the few honest and professional suppliers left in the UK, so if you want short run of CDs, go here.Posted on Simon ScottTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing company and communication and the cd’s are absolutely spot on. I generally couldn’t be happier with the service I received. Big up CD Unity 🙏Posted on Heart Of HecateTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We ordered our debut EP from CD Unity based on a recommendation from another band. They were helpful throughout the process with really reasonable pricing and clear templates to use. Good quality CDs and good quality prints. Most importantly, they allow you to check proofs before printing - not all companies do this!Posted on daisy mayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic service, Tom was very helpful. The CDs look great and are good quality! Definitely recommend.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. What is a jewel case CD?
A jewel case is the standard hard plastic CD case used commercially since the 1980s. It features a clear or black hinged outer shell, a coloured inner tray that grips the disc, and a transparent front panel that holds the booklet. The classic format holds one disc; double jewel cases hold two.
The jewel case remains the industry standard for commercial releases and is universally compatible with CD players, storage systems, and retail display fittings. For musicians releasing independently, it's the most familiar format for older audiences and the easiest for distributors and record shops to handle.

Read ArticleHow to make Jewel Case CD artwork
Creating jewel case CD artwork requires two separate template files — an inlay template and a booklet template. The inlay is used twice: once for the back panel design and once for the under-tray panel. Your completed artwork will have four panels in total: inlay back, under-tray, booklet front, and booklet page 2.
Work in Photoshop (or the free alternative Pixlr X) at a minimum of 300 dpi, and always in CMYK colour mode — not RGB, which is for screen only. Your artwork must extend to the bleed lines on the template, and no important elements such as text or logos should sit beyond the safety margin. The spine area on the inlay must include your band or artist name and release title.
Export each completed file as a PDF before sending. If your artwork is only available as a JPEG, use the highest resolution version possible — but PDF from a layered file is always preferred for print quality.

Why Choose Jewel Case CD Duplication?
The jewel case is the most widely recognised CD format in the world. For many listeners, it’s the definitive way to release music on physical media — instantly recognisable, easy to store, and durable enough for postal distribution and retail. If you’re targeting record shops, sending review copies to press, or want a format that sits comfortably alongside major label releases, a jewel case is the natural choice.
Compared to a Digipak, the jewel case is more affordable per unit and offers the same full-colour booklet and disc printing. The trade-off is the premium tactile feel of eco card — if your release has strong visual art direction and you want the packaging to feel like part of the artwork, a Digipak may suit you better. If you’re prioritising budget and maximum compatibility with racks and cases, the jewel case wins.
Jewel cases also hold up better in postal transit than card-based formats, making them the preferred choice for mailorder releases and subscription box fulfilment. Each case includes a printed back tray card with spine text so your release looks professional on a shelf.
Jewel Case Duplication vs. Replication — Which Should You Order?
For orders under 300 copies, we use CD duplication — burning your audio onto blank recordable discs. This is fast (around 12 working days), flexible, and identical in audio quality for the vast majority of music formats. It’s the right choice for most independent releases, limited editions, and gig stock.
For 300 copies and above, CD replication uses a glass mastering process to press discs from scratch — the same method used for commercial retail releases. Replicated discs are marginally more durable and carry a slight audio fidelity advantage in critical listening environments. They’re recommended for label releases entering retail distribution and larger runs where per-unit cost matters.
