What is
ISRC?
The ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the international identification system for sound recordings and music video recordings. It’s used to recognise copyright owner of the music when played on various domains. Each ISRCode is a unique and permanent number embedded into each recording and store in database.
Frequently Asked Questions
The first two characters identify the country where the member is based (eg, ‘UK’ represents ‘United Kingdom’).
The next three characters identify the recording rightsholder.
The next two characters identify the year in which the specific recording was given an ISRC.
The last five characters are the choice of the rightsholder when allocating recordings with an ISRC. These characters are always numbers.
How to obtain ISRC?

By adding an ISRC to each recorded music track or music video you register in the PPL Repertoire Database, you are ensuring that you will receive more accurate payments.
How much is to embed ISRC onto my CD?
This is a bonus service that we offer to all of our clients and we don’t charge anything for it.
When should I send my ISRC?
Please send your ISRC with your audio and artwork files as we need them before we start manufacturing your CDs.
Is having ISRC in DDP okay?
Absolutely. When you creating your DDP image you have an option to embed your codes in your DDP creator. This is when you should do that.
