On June 30th, 2022 Beyoncé took to her social media accounts and revealed the captivating album art which featured a radiant, holographic crystal horse with herself seated atop it donning an outlandish futuristic bikini.
Critics postulated that the equestrian pose was likely inspired by John Collier’s Lady Godiva painting from 1897 as well as images of Bianca Jagger riding into Studio 54 on a white stallion.
Beyoncé was true to her iconic style when she recreated the cover of her 2003 album, Dangerously in Love. In addition to wearing a crystal top reminiscent of the original photo, this time around Beyoncé donned a white cowboy hat with silver headpiece and striking silver chains that draped from her arms and legs.
Adding an extra layer of drama – “white, feathery poofs” hung along the horse’s body for effect!
